Charitable Contributions

Dr. Freedland has a strong history of giving back to people in need. Thank you to those of you that also give back. Your efforts are applauded and appreciated. There is no shortage of worthy charitable organizations. If you are currently looking for an organization to support, here are a few that Dr. Freedland commits his time to or contributes to financially. We hope you will be motivated to become active participants in helping those who need it.

Gloria & Thomas Kitchen Memorial Foundation

Cystic fibrosis is an inheritable disease characterized by chronic infection of the respiratory tract and by pancreatic insufficiency. After the deaths of two close family friends due to cystic fibrosis, Dr. Michael Freedland has begun efforts to support organizations benefiting those with cystic fibrosis. The Gloria & Thomas Kitchen Memorial Foundation raise funds for important cystic fibrosis research. As of November 2011, great strides have been made in propitious drugs that will treat the cause of the disease and not just its symptoms, but there is still much to be done.

Team in Training

Every four minutes a person in the United States is diagnosed with a blood cancer. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training participants are athletes of all levels who raise funds for lifesaving blood cancer research. Dr. Freedland avidly supports Team In Training by participating in countless triathlons, raising thousands of dollars to save lives. What began as a passion for exercise, developed into a sincere and genuine need in finding a cure for those suffering. For Dr. Freedland, triathlons are more than just a race to the finish line. They are a race to save lives.
